Sisterhood

Alpha Phi’s sisterhood is a unique and everlasting bond that is the foundation from which our chapter is built. Being a member of Alpha Phi allows us to create exceptional friendships that last far beyond our college years. Sisters share commitment to excellence and also support one another in lifelong achievement. Sisterhood means being there for our sisters while holding each other to higher standards. The Gamma Xi chapter of Alpha Phi here at Wichita State University exceeds at the promotion of sisterhood and watchcare. From the day new members receive their bid card, to their graduation, we focus on the enjoyment of being sisters and friends for life! To further expand this unique bond, our chapter organizes many events throughout the year. From exciting outings to relaxing nights at the house, Alpha Phi's love and cherish each and every moment spent together. Sisterhood lasts a lifetime!

Big Little Program

One of the best parts about becoming an Alpha Phi is having the opportunity to form a bond with another sister that is unlike any other. A “big” serves as a guiding mentor throughout an Alpha Phi’s journey. Alpha Phi has a unique program called "Ivy Linkers", which allows each new member the opportunity to meet other sisters and get to know each potential "big" through fun activities during their new member educational period. This ensures that each "little" will have a genuine bond with their "big" and create a family within Alpha Phi that lasts a lifetime. Big/Little Reveal is one of the most exciting times of the year! Over the course of a week, new members receive a variety of anonymous gifts and hints from their new "big". At the end of the week there is the reveal, where new members finally get to meet their "big"! During a members second year, they then get to continue their family by getting a "little" to mentor.
